A Game of Hide & Seek Turns Deadly After an Impostor Appears Among a Group of Friends

Bodies Bodies Bodies, opens with Bee and her girlfriend, Sophie, kissing passionately in the middle of the forest. They have a romantic afternoon together, where Sophie tells Bee that she loves her, but Bee never says it back.

The two then head out for a party during an incoming hurricane at the home of Sophie’s childhood friend, David. Sophie and her friends are wealthy and spoiled, while Bee comes from Bulgaria, as an exchange student in Utah and has a job. Upon arriving at the house, Bee makes herself acquainted with the place before Sophie takes her outside to meet the others,  including David, his girlfriend Emma, Jordan, Alice, and her older boyfriend Greg. They had another guest, Max, but he left the night before after getting into a fight with David. The rest of the group seems surprised to see Sophie as she never told them she'd be coming over. Greg uses one of David's dad's Gurkha knives, which he took without asking permission, in order to open a champagne bottle and show off in front of the girls, which in return annoys David. It starts to rain and the group moves indoors.

Sophie and Bee make out, again, but get interrupted by David who wants to talk with Sophie in private. He tells her that Max hit him over something involving Emma. He also brings up how Sophie was in rehab for her drug addiction, and David questions why she has shown up at all. They also talk about being uncomfortable with Alice having brought Greg who she met on Tinder, as they know little about him, other than that he served in the army and is much older than them. Meanwhile, Jordan finds Bee and tells her to be careful around Sophie. The group hangs out and gets drunk and high, leading them to party, just as it starts to rain. Bee dances with Jordan as Sophie watches from the side with slight jealousy, leading to her interrupting the party and proposing that they play a game of “Bodies Bodies Bodies.” The objective is for the players to draw papers to see who is picked as the killer, but they have to keep it a secret. If the killer finds them and touches them, they are "killed" and have to pretend to be dead. Before they begin the game, however, they play a different one where they take shots and slap one another. It is Bee’s turn to slap David, but she hits too weak. David demonstrates how to do it by using the opportunity to punch Greg hard, causing the other girls to react in shock and disgust. They turn off the lights and run to hide, as the real game begins. Bee walks around in the darkness while using her phone's flashlight and tries to avoid being seen by others.

After the game is over, Greg is seen as the “victim.” At first, it appears as though Greg might actually be dead, but after David taps him in the nuts, it's revealed he's just faking it. The group starts picking who the killer might be and when Jordan suggests David, he gets defensive, which makes Greg say that a good defense is a good offense, but the girls remind Greg that he is not supposed to speak if he is 'dead'. David starts antagonizing Greg, leading to him saying he is going to bed. Afterward, while trying to figure out who the killer is, David suggests Emma because she hasn't said a word and keeps swallowing when she is nervous and lying. Things get tense when Alice reveals that Emma talked about her relationship with David and how they never have sex. The girls unanimously vote for David as the killer, which makes him snap and smash a glass before storming off.

The girls continue to party until, suddenly, the power goes out in the entire house. They believe it's David throwing a prank at them. Bee heads to the bathroom, but when she gets to the kitchen, she finds David stumbling against the glass door, his throat having been slit. The other girls rush outside to his aid, but he dies in their arms. They have no signal to call for help, and their car won’t start since the battery has died. They run back into the house and fear that there is an actual killer among them. They suspect Max or Greg, as they both had motives against David. Alice protests, but the others force her to look for Greg. Jordan arms herself with a cleaver. The girls go to Alice’s room and go through Greg’s luggage. They find a knife, as well as a map with the house’s location, circled on it. The girls find Greg in the house’s gym where he was sleeping and had headphones in. They question him about the items in his bag and accuse him of killing David, but he thinks it’s a gag until he ends up grabbing a knife off one of them. The group agrees to put their weapons down, but a struggle occurs when Emma jumps on Greg’s back. When he tries going for the knife again, Bee bashes his head with kettlebell weight, killing him. Alice is left screaming and crying.

After they leave the gym, Sophie goes into one of the rooms and uses some cocaine to calm her nerves. The girls meet in the kitchen and tensions continue to run high. Sophie blames Emma for what has happened, as they think Max might have killed David because of her. Sophie insults her and makes her run off. They later encounter each other again, and Sophie apologizes to Emma, who responds by kissing her. However, Sophie is not into it and breaks the kiss. Before she leaves, Sophie gives Emma a bag of pills to calm herself. Later on, Alice walks through the dark and bumps into Emma, who is lying dead at the bottom of the stairs after a nasty fall. The other girls soon arrive and continue to blame each other, thinking one of them pushed Emma. Alice and Jordan turn their attention to Bee, believing that she has been lying to Sophie about who she is because they looked her up and saw that she didn’t graduate from Utah State as she previously said. And after witnessing her kill Greg, they believe Bee is the killer, so Alice and Jordan force her out of the house into the pouring rain, with Sophie just sitting there in silence. Bee goes to Sophie's car to change her clothes and finds a pair of panties that don't belong to her or Sophie. She goes back to the house windows and sees that Jordan has a gun on her.

Bee crawls back inside through a doggie door. Bee confronts the girls and tries to warn Sophie about Jordan’s gun. Bee then explains herself to Sophie and says that she went to Utah State for one semester and does work at the store she mentioned, but the one thing she kept from Sophie was that she was taking care of her mother, who has a borderline personality disorder. After confronting Jordan about the gun and asking her to empty her pockets, a piece of paper with an X falls out, meaning she was the killer for the game of Bodies Bodies Bodies, so they think she is killing for real. Jordan then draws her gun on Sophie and Bee, thinking Bee is just lying. Another argument ensues, where Jordan tells Bee that she and Sophie had sex in her car a day before they got to the house. Which makes the panties that Bee found in the car earlier belong to Jordan. Jordan also criticizes Sophie for playing the victim because of her drug addiction and a stint in rehab. Sophie then says out loud that Jordan is always talking crap about Alice because she hates her and her podcast. As Alice begins making a fuss, Jordan shoots her in the leg. The girls then struggle for control of the gun, and Jordan ends up accidentally shooting Alice in the head.

Sophie attempts to take Jordan’s gun as they walk up the stairs, and Jordan aims the gun at her. Bee jumps onto Jordan, who attempts to fire at them. In the struggle, Bee throws Jordan over the banister, where she falls and is impaled by broken glass bottles. With her dying breaths, Jordan tells Bee to check Sophie’s texts before she begins firing wildly into the air. Sophie and Bee run and hide, but Bee has become distrustful of Sophie. Sophie tries to touch her, but Bee says she frightens her and runs away from her, and attempts to hide. As the morning comes, Bee walks around and sees the dead bodies lying everywhere. She goes outside and is found by Sophie, who tearfully tells her that she gave Emma pills and says that she tripped and fell down the stairs, and Sophie feels responsible. Bee takes the gun and points it at Sophie, telling her to show her the texts on her phone. Sophie throws her phone, and the two begin to fight for it before falling into the pool. When Bee gets out, she finds David’s phone in the mud instead. They unlock it and find a TikTok on his phone where he attempted to use a Gurkha knife to open a champagne bottle because he saw Greg do the same. David had accidentally slit his own throat doing the stunt, meaning there was never a killer and everyone died for nothing. Moments later, Max returns to the house and asks Sophie and Bee what happened. Bee then notices she finally has reception on her phone as the movie draws to a close.
