City of God (Portuguese: Cidade de Deus) is a 2002 Brazilian crime film co-directed by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund, released in 2002 and worldwide in 2003. Braulio Mantovani adapted the story from his 1997 novel of the same name. The name is written by Paulo Lins, but the plot is based on real events.

He is most recently featured in American singer John Legend's music video for the song "PDA (We Just Don't Care)", released in 2007.
